Some of the things #51
Welcome to my public journal, where I share *some of the things* I've been exploring across work, tech, wellness, and life.
Dear Friends,
Busy day today but I have just enough time to share a quick hit list of some of the things I’ve been up to since my last post.
I’m happy to share an update about the children’s book I’ve been working on with my sister for the past two years. We locked down the story a few months ago and she’s now working diligently on the illustrations. Each page is hand painted in a mix of watercolor and acrylic. She needs another 1-2 months to finish and then we'll move on to publishing. In the meantime, I vibe-coded a website where you can learn a little more about the book and sign up to be notified when we release it. Check it out here: https://www.afriendtoallbook.com/. We also have a new Instagram page for the book here: https://www.instagram.com/batandherfriends/
Vibe coding the website for the children’s book gave me more confidence in building websites, so I took a stab at creating a media kit for GM Farcaster. Mediakit.gmfarcaster.com is now live, providing information about our show and sponsorship opportunities.
In my last post I wrote a stream of consciousness meditation about the risk of losing specialized, tribal knowledge in the age of AI. I spent some more time with my thoughts and rewrote it as a standalone blog, published on medium and paragraph.
I loved reading this piece on gardening, with so many life lessons that can be learned from the practice. Good timing as it’s almost time to start planting for the season.
“Either way, just start,” Gastelum told me in an email. “Don’t try to be perfect. You won’t be, but you will learn and you will probably have some success.
Have you heard about AI poisoning? Instead of trying to block AI from accessing content, some sites are using AI to generate nonsense pages for AI bots to index, which is used to either consume and waste AI resources or could be used to inject malicious or harmful data. A poisonous honeypot for AIs. Cloudflare is even offering it as a feature.
Some of the pics
Pics from top to bottom, left to right:
A sunny morning on Snowmass mountain, taken last week
The same place, just a few hours later. Mountain weather is crazy.
Artwork spotted in Aspen, similar to the one I saw in Tampa. I could stare inside these pieces for hours. Does anyone know how I can get one for my home?
Ice cream sundae, because why not?
A fox (?) skull found in my yard, likely dropped out of an eagle’s or hawk’s talons?
Art work spotted at Emory University, while I was there taking my middle child on a college visit. Can you see the woman’s face?
Close up of the same art; as you can see it’s all made with soda cans.
Tulips in Centennial Park, Nashville.
A typewriter in an art exhibit called “Time to be Happy”, a good reminder that happiness is a choice.

A Note to My Readers
I started this substack in December 2022 as an experiment to see if developing a writing habit would help clarify my thinking and/or provide other benefits. You can read about my original intentions in my first post or my more recent reflections after sticking with it for a year.
I write about twice a month and share musings, meditations, and links to things I’m finding interesting as I build out a farcaster-native media company, a modern technology consulting company, raise my kids, and have fun creating and learning in the worlds of crypto, tech, finance, science and wellness.
Thank you for supporting my writing and journey. If you’d like to get in touch you can reply to me here or find me on X and farcaster.
Until next time, keep putting good into the world. —adrienne🌏❤️
